Joe’S Italian Restaurant & Pizza Information

Walking into Joe’S Italian Restaurant & Pizza at 1010 S Lasalle St in Navasota feels like stepping into a relaxed, small-town spot where comfort food and familiar faces set the tone. The location is easy to find, just off the main road, and it has that welcoming, no-frills charm that makes you want to settle in rather than rush through a meal.

The menu leans heavily into classic Italian-American favorites, with pizza clearly taking center stage. The crust strikes a nice balance-crispy on the outside but still soft enough to fold, which is always a good sign. A simple pepperoni pizza comes out with generous toppings and just the right amount of cheese, while specialty pies offer combinations that feel hearty without being overdone. Beyond pizza, the pasta dishes are worth exploring. The spaghetti with meat sauce has that slow-cooked flavor you’d expect, and the lasagna comes layered thick with cheese and a rich, savory filling that tastes homemade rather than mass-produced.

Service here tends to match the laid-back atmosphere. Staff are friendly, attentive without hovering, and quick to offer recommendations if you’re unsure what to order. During a recent visit, the server checked in just enough to keep things running smoothly, and drinks were refilled before even needing to ask. It’s the kind of service that feels genuine rather than scripted, which adds to the overall experience.

The dining area itself is simple but comfortable, with a casual setup that works well for families, small groups, or even solo diners grabbing a quick bite. It’s not trying to be upscale, and that’s part of the appeal. You’ll notice locals coming in regularly, which says a lot about how the place fits into the community. Reviews from regulars often mention consistency, and based on the meals I’ve seen and tried, that reputation feels earned.

While the menu doesn’t venture far into modern or experimental territory, it doesn’t need to. The focus here is on doing the basics well-solid pizza, satisfying pasta, and a relaxed dining experience that keeps people coming back. If you’re in Navasota and looking for a dependable spot where the food is filling and the atmosphere is easygoing, this place fits the bill without trying too hard to impress.

My chicken Parmesan was amazing. It was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. My wife’s Caprese salad, was only so-so. The rolls ahead of the meal were delicious.

Hidden gem! We were passing through on our way to Fort Worth and so glad we stopped. The bread was dreamy, caprese salad was so fresh and chicken Alfredo was a hit. The restaurant is unassuming and cozy, well worth a try!

The food was amazing! Absolutely amazing! We had a variety of appt and entrees and even had take out meals made everything was delish. From the rolls to dessert we loved it all! Salmon Picata, the chicken parmigiana, the combination with Alfredo, lasagna and the chicken parmigiana, the tiramisu and carrot cake to name a few dishes we tried

I ate here whike on a business trip. The service was excellent and the food fabulous. I got a trio of fettuccine, chicken cachitorrie (I can’t spell), and lasagna. There was so much food! It was amazing. I tried to eat as much as I could.

Service was great. The portions are very large for the price, not to mention delicious. Would love to return if I’m ever in the area again.

I can't believe I haven't heard about! His place before, but met me tell you . A very very cozy place for a nice Italian meal and a pleasant time admiring the painting on the wall . We had their pizza and it was amazingly delicious. It was a bit pricey but worth it .

We had such a great first visit to Joe's! All of our food was tasty and fresh! The veggie pizza was great, as well as the angel hair with mushrooms, artichoke and jalapenos with a pink sauce.

This is the most quaint atmosphere I have been in in a long time. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is so good and satisfying. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza some wings and Stromboli. Try the spicy sweet wings, they were the perfect balance of both worlds.
